Step 1:
Click and drag each one of these two buttons to on one of your toolbars. This is done by pressing the left mouse button when the cursor is on the icon, then keeping it pressed while moving the mouse to a toolbar and releasing the mouse button once you have reached the position where you would like to place the button. When asked if you want to proceed, select YES.
FRoSP Button
Enable/Disable Button
Attention: If you simply click instead of dragging the buttons, you will also be asked if you want to add the new button. Select NO.
You have to drag the buttons, not just click on them.
Once you have dragged both buttons to the toolbar correctly, it will look like this:
On any web site you visit you can now click on the speech bubble button to open the FRoSP popup. But how do you know how if there are already comments for a web site you are visiting? Well, first click on the Enable/Disable button, so a checkmark appears. Then proceed to step 2.
Step 2:
Opera has a directory for so-called UserJS-Files. A file for FRoSP needs to be downloaded to this directory, so first we have to find out where it is located on your computer.
In Opera, go to the Tools menu, then select Preferences. In the window that opens, select the Advanced tab.
Now select Content on the left side. On the right side, a button JavaScript options... will appear.
Now click on the JavaScript options... button. Another window will appear:
There is a text field at the buttom (circled in red in this screenshot) that contains the directory where UserJs files have to be located, the so-called UserJs Folder. Memorize which directory this is or write it down. If the field is empty, click the Choose button and choose any folder on your computer. You can also create a new folder and choose that one. The name or location of the folder does not matter, as long as you have access to it and you remember it for what comes next.
Now you can click the OK button and again the OK button of the Preferences window. Right click on THIS LINK, select Save target as... and in the window that opens choose the UserJS folder. Select OK and the file will be downloaded.
That's it, now you are ready to surf the Web with FRoSP. On any web page you visit, you will notice a little box on the top right corner, like in this screenshot:
The number in this box indicates the amount of comments on FRoSP for this web page. Click the FRoSP speech bubble button to open a popup where you can read these comments and reply.
On most web sites this box doesn't cover anything, even on the Google site in this screenshot the link under the box is still available. Should a web page ever require you to click something in the top right corner, simply disable FRoSP temporarily (click the Enable/Disable button) and reload the page (hit F5). Don't forget to re-enable FRoSP when you continue surfing on other web sites.
Now have fun and enjoy FRoSP. We hope it will provide useful information and interesting conversations to you on the web sites you like. If you have feature requests, improvement suggestions, bug reports or simply want to tell us that you like FRoSP, please do not hesitate to send us feedback. There is a feedback link in every FRoSP window.
